As long as both are of legal age, I wouldn't have said any age gap was wrong.
I've usually been in relationships with (much) older guys, but now I'm the older woman!

The only age gap that I consider bad is one that involves an adult (18 or older) and a minor (16 or younger). There is quite a bit of controversy in this and there are laws about age of consent, but when you are over 40 you tend to look at the thing simply and logistically. Adult and minor with little to no grey area at all.

There is no age gap, that is good or bad!!!!Whether you should be with someone has more to do with the way you feel about each other....and what you have to offer each other emotionally....The belief that a certain age difference is good or bad is just something we are indoctrinated into believing by peers,parents etc.!!!!!!!.....It's irrelevant whether the guy or the woman is older

Well, what does it matter if you're happy and love, and respect the person you are with?
I have a friend whose partner was about 10 years his senior, but she was the one to dump him after being together for over 15 years; He really loved her.
So, of course this can be an issue, and obviously it's worth discussing about with your parnter, about children, people's view, the way she sees you etc...
It's really what you feel comfortable with, in public and in the secret of your house.
But the fact is, there's no perfection, people the same age have massive problems which don't have anything to do with age;
Older men have problems with their younger partner.
So, really, there's no perfection.
But something positive to do, would be to try and see if you know other couple in your situation and just try and share their secret if there's any.
Anyway, good luck and Happy New Year.x

Depends on the age they are at the moment. There are 6 years between my husband and me. But in your 40's that makes no differance at all. We met a few years ago. I wouldnt expect a 22 year old woman to go out with an 16 year old.

It depends on the ages. In your teens, even a couple years means a lot. By the time you're fifty, as many as 10 years difference is fairly common and, I think, not a big deal. Over 20 years difference it's hard to understand what the connection is, other than either financial or a mommy/daddy figure.

age gap matters little where love is concerned. its the ability of both parties to cope with the social distancing that needs strength. a generation between couples is a doomed relationship as the older will lament their own passing leaving the younger alone.

between 2-4. if there were like a 5+ age difference it would be a little weird. well, if you are both legal then i guess there is nothing wrong with it. just keep in mind that you don`t want a woman twice your age or the same as your mom. she may get a little controlling.

there is no real age gap classed as bad, honestly because everyone thinks differently so if you like this woman and she likes you go for it don't give up just because one person said "oh isn't she too old for you?" and if you really like each other neither of you will care what others say

there is nothing wrong with an age gap, have you heard of Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher? they are 20 years apart! So if Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes! as long as the age gap is legal, its okay!
