I downloaded a torrent AVI. Video file, but when i play it all i hear is sound. do i need to download a codec?

Download the ACE Mega Codecs Pack. Large file, but has every imaginable codec included in it.

Search for it on google.

google for codec pack or else download videoLAN which plays EVERYTHING! XD

AVS DVD Player will solve that problem it plays every video format imaginable
oh and it's free
