The difference is that Muslims believe that God's exists does not have any shape, size or gender, he does not have his own children or wife and that his chosen Prophet is Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Whereas Christians believe that Jesus is the chosen Prophet and also God as he is the son of God. Everyone has the right to follow his choice of faith and I dont see why u cannot convert to Islam. Infact it is very easy to convert to Islam no baptism ceremonies or certificates required) and u are accepted as a muslim by birth. May the Almighty bless you

Islam and Christianity are of the same source that is Allah the only god, the creator, and the owner of the whole universe with every thing in it including humans
Muslims believe in only one god that is unique, has no wife or son
Muslims do believe in Jesus as a respectable prophet and messenger of God
God created him inside his mother as an embryo just as he created Adam(the father of humanity)as a whole man
But Jesus is not a god or a son of god
Muslims respect Jesus as much as they respect their messenger Muhammad and all the prophets and messengers of god because Islam told them to do so
By the way I'm a muslim
