It's not a spiritual principle, but it is no doubt, a principle of organized religion.....

I feel very sorry for you if you only exposure to spiritual principles is through manipulation, fear, guilt and intimidation. It is very true that there are many, maybe well meaning maybe self serving people out there that take that approach. I grew up exposed to just the opposite. The one principle that has held through out my life is to not live your life in such a way that would turn others away from God. Many forget that and serve their own purpose. This leads others away....I am sorry if this is all you have been exposed to. There is more out there and my hope is that some day you will be exposed to that also. But I realize that you are so turned off and injured by your past experiences that you may never be open to hearing the truth.

I feel it is the same a the tactics and traits a bully uses.
I can see from the previous answers that many people have witnessed the fashions of religion. Many people hear people in the pulpit talk of bad times in life after death if they don't conform to righteous lives before death.
I can see from several viewpoints where someone that hasn't read their scriptures, are feeling like they are being bullied. Therefore, a feeling of fear, guilt, and intimidation will occur.
People that read and study their scriptures, pray daily, and try to live a righteous life will have no fear. Only love. No guilt. Only praise. No intimidation. Just understanding.

Of course not. There are usually two sides to a coin. Some choose heads other tails. It's a matter of choice and what you prefer.
Heads can be burning in hell fire, tails can be a beautiful spiritual ever lasting life. What you prefer is totally up to you. Some like the fire, some the ever lasting, the choice is yours.
It's mankind that does the manipulating, lays on the guilt trips, then creates fear for themselves and others.

No, these things are not spiritual principles. Because they have been used by most churches and religions does not make them so. They are the opposite. Spiritual principles are those teachings that uplift the person, the spirit. They are those that give us a way to being closer to God or the Divine. They bring releasement and freedom not bondage and control.
If we believe that every religion has its source from God and it is presented to mankind in a pure and honest form how long do the teachings and priciples stay that way. It is people that change the teachings to fit their agendas and personal beliefs. Teachings are added to the original so that those in power who have no morals or integrity can manipulate the masses through the very terms in your question.

no when was younger yes as didn't know how to deal with people who use intimidation as a means of getting what they want or trying to act like are better, but now would approach the person if was at work and ask for a quiet word and talk to them, this usually works and gets you the respect you deserve. If was aggressive intimidation would just walk away until the person was calm enough to talk, don't like anger.

religion can be manipulation through fear, and guilt- because religion in and of itself is a set of man made rules. If you follow the true God of the Bible- He draws you with love and grace. God desires to have a personal relationship with us, not for us to be religious. I would not call it manipulation where He gives us a choice to choose Jesus' death on the cross for our salvation. I call it love. True spirituality is found in Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, who humbled himself and became obedient even to dying on the cross.

If it is done through FEAR, it is straight from the pit of hell. IF you love God, and try your best to follow Him, there IS nothing to fear. People who use this tactic will have to answer for it one day. You can only be intimidated as much as you allow yourself to be.
