Medicinal Benefits of Garlic is as under. You can take either garlic with your food preparations or even the garlic pearls or capsules. Both have the same effects.

Scientific research indicates that garlic can have some health benefits, such as preventing and fighting common cold, diminishment of platelet aggregation; a meta-analysis[verification needed] showing significant (8% compared to placebo) lowering of Low density lipoprotein carrying cholesterol (LDL-C) ; treatment of hyperlipidaemia; the significant inhibition of atherosclerosis via the use of aged garlic extract Kyolic; and the protective nature of chronic garlic intake on elastic properties of aorta in the elderly. Regular and prolonged use of therapeutic amounts of aged garlic extracts lower blood homocysteine levels, and prevent some complications of diabetes mellitus. It may have some cancer-fighting properties because it is high in diallyl sulphide (DADs), believed to be an anticarcinogen.

In modern naturopathy, garlic is used as a treatment for intestinal worms, both orally and as an anal suppository.

Garlic cloves continue to be used by aficionados as a remedy for infections (especially chest problems), digestive disorders, and fungal infections such as thrush. They are claimed to be an effective long-term remedy for cardiovascular problems reducing excessive blood cholesterol levels, atherosclerosis, the risk of thrombosis, and hypertension but these claims are disputed, as there has been no clinical trial that has demonstrated any such benefits. Whole cloves used as vaginal suppositories are sometimes used as a home remedy for Candidiasis (yeast infections). Garlic is also alleged to help regulate blood sugar levels, and so can be helpful in late-onset diabetes, though people taking insulin should not consume medicinal amounts of garlic without consulting a physician. In such applications, garlic must be fresh and uncooked, or the allicin will be lost.

Dietary supplements in pill form, as are commonly available, claim to possess the medicinal benefits of garlic, without (in the words of one manufacturer) "the unsocial qualities associated with fresh garlic cloves"...

Garlic Capsules Benefits

2017-01-02 08:13:56 · answer #2 · answered by kennebeck 4 · 0 0

the garlic capsules contain a much more concentrated form of garlic that might require eating way more real garlic than one could stomach to get the same effect. Ijn addition the capsules tend to not smell and taste quite as strong. Though as with real garlic a burp or two might be quite strong in the odor department so always best to take them before a meal.

As for health effects, when combined with cayenne, they do tend to help a lot when fighting the early stages of a cold or flu. Personally, I take them as soon as the very first symptoms appear and they seem to keep the virus at bay quite nicely. But even if it does set in, they do help one recover a little faster.

There are also some known benefits to ones circulatory system from garlic. Check out any reputable source of natural remedies or uses for various herds, etc. and you will also find many others that actually do wonders for health in all sorts of ways.

Garlic has numerous benefits, helps the heart, the digestive system and your cholesterol as well. Many more benefits also and too numerous to mention them all. Capsules are as effective but for one thing and that is the fiber garlic has in its natural form. Very small but can be a factor for some. also a natural antibiotic.

Garlic has antibiotic properties to it, also it's good for arthritis.
I think you can get really good benefits from a capsule but the real stuff is going to contain trace elements in it that otherwise might be processed out with the caps.
Here's a recipe for the best salad dressing I've ever eaten. My mother in law makes it and when people set down to her dinner table for the best pork in the world!! they grab the salad first! Every time! the salad gets 'mauled' before the meat! That's a damn good salad, man. Here goes...
1 clove garlic
1 sm. onion
chop them and add
2-3mm (1/4 cup) of white wine vinegar
4-5 large spoons of mayonnaise
1 small spoon of mustard
mix in a bowl and add, 1/2 cup of milk
salt to taste
dill weed to taste (1/4) table spoon
Enjoy!

They are supposed to ward off colds, flue and other winter nasties. I at one time for a period of 3 years took the garlic tablets and in that time I was free from all these things. The real thing is just as effective but the smell on you would be overpowering if taken on a daily basis. The tablets have had the smell taken out although it is faintly there.
Happy New Year.
