Just like Windows XP - only it's been optimized for acting as a server - meaning graphics are generally poor (compared to XP) and memory, CPU, network and other services are all optimized to provide services to other computers.

For example, the Desktop and running programs on it can appear sluggish at times they would otherwise work fine if you were using XP - this is because in theory, it's better to have 50 users able to access the files stored on the server rather than 1 person use word quickly.
