I came to belief because I found myself in a situation of despair -- I knew that without God, all human hope was groundless and meaningless. I basically prayed, "God, I don't know if you're there, but if you are, save me from this, because I can't live." And he did. I have never since suffered from that despair.

Because when we close our eyes we see a light even if we erase all the past and clear our minds of all we have been conditioned to believe.
The light is ever there*
The light will not go away.
I tried to go on my own way and the light follows me.
I disregarded all that was inferred or input into my thought patterns and still the light was there,it will not leave me alone.
The light is the source of life and that is my God, and if God/light ever leaves me alone I am in the dark.
I have tried and tried and studied and studied to come to my own conclusions and disregarding what some of the most highly recognized brilliant minds had to say about all this and the light was still there even if i counted all those high minded ones final analysis the light turns me back to itself.
It does not matter what one was taught true or false that makes one believe we all have a light- there is no escape.

One needs only to look at the world and see the heavens, with all the planets etc Then look at all the beautiful colors of races in the world. Now look in the mirror and you will see a miracle that happened the day you were born, You came from a seed that was planted in your Mothers womb. And when you plant seeds in the ground, have you ever watched them grow? Just think about all this and then some say, there is no God. They say this because they cannot see God, God is like the wind, you cannot see that neither! But you know it is there!

cuz when I foolowed the scientific experiment describe in the NT the results were what was described and I knew the Holy Spirit had taken up residence in my body.
Furthernmore previously to that instant I had a hard time understanding the Bible and because I am dyslexic reading anything was hard. Afterwards not only did I like reading the Bible but understanding it was natural without very much study.

because all that we know could not exist without thought and planning.for existance apples grow on trees,..you pick it ,eat it,and if you throw the seeds on the ground you will give birth to another tree.life exists after death.every day billions of cells in your body die and are replaced,so every 7 years every cell in your body has died and been replaced,so the body you had as a child didnt stretch it died and was reborn without you even knowing it..life after death,we can reproduce, think, feel, learn.do you really think that was a cosmic accident or the result af an explosion?if i throw a bomb in a room, after it went off whoud thier be life in the room,or a whole new world full of people, plants and animals?God must exist or we wouldnt .plain and simple.

Well truthfully I might ask, Why would you not believe in God when you see the wonders of the world through such naturally amazing sites such as the Grand Canyon, Niagra Falls and so on. One Big Bang and accident couldn't have created it.
So do you believe?

The reason that I would believe in God would be that, whenever people have done bad things to me, they receive what they did to me, and then I find them coming for help. Though I would have a secret burning fire within, some divine spirit tells me to show compassion.

If you can believe in God you can believe in anything. I believe in an imaginary God, therefore I can believe in anything imaginary.
All Gods are imaginary; as for church people's basic reason for believing in one, since they don't know it's imaginary, it is emotional.
Faith is in the same category as emotion, so you can't separate it from your emotions and all those things that formed your emotional constitution. Evidence does not come into play.

I believe in God because of my personal experiences in life. No one influenced or persuaded me to believe in Him. Only that I knew that experiencing what I have, there is no other way to explain them but God.
