2 Corinthians chapter 3 describes how we are being transformed into Jesus's likeness. It is a continuous process and the wonderful thing is that it comes not from us so much as from Him. Moses when he went into God's presence emerged so dazzling that he had to wear a veil so as not to blind the Israelites and Christians who are close to God similarly take on something of His radiance. There will never be a point in our lives when we can be considered to have become like Jesus, but we can hope to become more like Him, through His grace and with His help. He doesn't order us to do things and then stand back and watch us struggle. He's with us every step of the way!

That answer could take awhile, but I will try and summarize it. I know that it is hard to believe that we can become like Jesus. It is impossible for us to be like Him, unless we have accepted Him as our Savior, and allow His Holy Spirit to change us. When we become Christians, the old is passed away and the new has come, Christ dying on the cross, forgives us from sin, gives us eternal life in heaven, but God keeps us here on earth so that we can become more like Him everyday. God sent Jesus so we can know Him and learn from Him. Salvation is not just a free ticket to heaven. He came so that we can learn to be like Him, NO we will never be god, that is not what it means. Our character can be transformed if we have the mind of Christ.

Obey God's Commandments to the letter and Jesus will manifest himself through you.

Jesus had mentioned time and time again to keep His Commandments and to sin no more. Be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect. Live in the Spirit and not by the ways of the world.

These statements alone tell us that it is not impossible to be like Jesus. All it takes is faith, obedience and commitment; Jesus has said once that even faith the size of a mustard seed could even move mountains from their foundations.

God created laws of physics to balance the Universe; He also gave us laws of humanity the Ten Commandments to balance ourselves.

Robin, Jesus was fully human as well as fully divine. Unless that was so He couldn't have borne that burden of our sins. He also had free will and could have rejected the plan that was in place for Him. So I think that this is where we have the opportunity to be like him. We can choose to live our lives to be more like Him: loving, selfless, focused on God, giving to the poor. It doesn't have to be a Mother Theresa kind of life, just doing the best you can daily and remembering that God is your Father/Mother/Friend.

Just see your own statement logically,
'He was born as God' do you think it seems logical that God is born then what about beofer his borth was there no God at all.
Then you say 'he will have faith in God' then who is God? Jesus or somebody else....
Jesus (peace be upon him) was not the God but a messenger of God.
Who was given a book by the Allah (God) and was sent to his nation so as to track them right.
He is alive in the skies and will be sent back to confirm that 'I am not God but a human'

He was born a MAN. He was introduced as the son of God. Nonetheless a MAN. Read Matthew. It will tell you. There is only one God. Jesus is a trinity of God. Father, son and the Holy Ghost. More or less.

we are to mold our lives after Jesus' example. The Bible says that He was tempted with everything that we are tempted with and He did not sin. The Bible also says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God ,in other words, reading the Bible. The Bible also says that He understands our every weakness and if we do believe in Him it is counted as rightousness. Our sins Jesus took away on the cross and what He asks is that we believe that He is the son of God.

Nowhere does the Bible say we are to be God. There is only one God. However, when we turn from our sins and accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, He comes to live inside us in the Person of His Holy Spirit.

Jesus is as close to perfection as a man can be. To be like Him obey Gods command and " be ye perfect , even as is your Father is in Heaven ".
