There are a couple I've used, learned from the Silva Mind Control Method.

One is music .. but not just any music. Certain types of music, like baroque or those.generally referred to as 'brainwave' have a tendency to slow your natural body rhythms and, therefore, let your body operate more efficiently. Chuck Wild writes music like this .. his 'stage name' is Liquid Mind. So does Llewellyn and Steve Halpern. The first album by Brule, 'We The People' has a couple exceptional songs that work to calm mind and body.

Silva teaches students to 'go to their level' of relaxation... and there are generally three. Alpha (that half-awake state) is extremely efficient for learning. (The others, theta and delta, have more complicated purposes, like ESP and healing.)

You can reach that Alpha state with a simple exercise ... both hands...place your thumb, index finger and third finger together..just the tips. (This simple action will become a 'trigger' for relaxation as you progress.) Now, close your eyes and imagine yourself in an elevator .. top floor, #50. The numbers are in bright hot colors .. red..orange.... as you descend to the ground floor, the numbers change color .. moving to the cool range .. greens and blues. As you reach #1, you will be relaxed and at that 'alpha' state. Now you can reinforce the lesson to be learned.

Silva's website will send you FREE mp3 relaxation tapes.. guided and unguided assistance to help you learn these simple techniqiues. IT WORKS .. I memorized entire Navy tech manuals when I was using it :)

Acting does require a strong memory. But you just need to practice your script over and over again. Very few people can look at a script and automatically know it by heart. From my experiences you need to practice it. I know this may seem cheesy but instead of memorizing the scene you have to know it. if you know everything that happens in the scene it helps with learning the lines. when i am doing a monologue it helps me to highlight it in sections- different colors for different emotions. you could try making a few copies of the script and hanging it up in different places our your home. I hope that helped. Good luck learning your script.

I know one. While you are travelling try to recollect the face of a person you just saw. Then recollect after 30 mins then 1 hour and so on. Helps improve memory.

firstly the mind needs to be in total calm and control, so meditate evrday for at least 15-20 mins. its helpful. then drink healthy fruit juices or stuff like bournvita(trust me its good). then try solving daily puzzles like those crosswords, mindbenders, and sodukus etc...it gives your mind a logical way of thinking.
