Good Night Moon, Runaway Bunny or any other book by Margaret Wise Brown. My son used to love these books.

Other books that are great (your nephews parents will have to read them to him) are anything by Mercer Meyer, such as "Just me and my Mom", "Just me and my Dad" etc etc...check this link for all of his titles. http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books/35/search?sc=Mercer+Mayer&sf=Author

My son loves Brown Bear, Brown Bears. He isn't a big fan of Goodnight Moon. He's 18 months old.
Now, from experience with having three 2 year olds here last night for a holiday party they really enjoy the following: The Backyardigans, Elmo, and Thomas the Train.
You should ask his mom what toons he's into b/c then he'll really get excited about reading the book before bed.
I think books are a great gift!

My children both enjoyed the book Goodnight Moon. At his age, board books are the best, because the pages can't be torn. Find out what he likes, such as Elmo or Pooh, then get him a book along that subject line would be perfect.

I accept as true with "aelp". I study financial ruin books to my 12 365 days previous commencing at age 2. I in basic terms did it at bedtime and in basic terms for roughly quarter-hour. there have been nights he became no longer fascinated and needed a quick e book so on those nights we study the quick e book. My son and that i the two enjoyed this time at the same time. He has continually been 3 grade stages previous his friends in analyzing and writing. He likes to study. I say attempt it and no count if it relatively is gorgeous to your son carry on, yet shop on along with his lead if he looks bored stiff or annoyed placed it off for a on an identical time as. good success to you.

Eric Carl books are wonderful. I love reading them. Also kids love the Sandra Boynton books like Moo, Baa, La La La, and Barnyard Dance. They are rhyming books that are silly and fun to read. They also promote language development and patterning.

Brown, Bear, Brown Bear. The children end up memorizing the book as you read it to them, and that gives them the motivation to keep trying. It took my 2 year old only a few times to have it memorized, now he's trying to read everything. (he's 3 now) Tell him Happy birthday, that's my day too!!!!!!!
