i wish to buy a canon powershot A630.Which memory card should i use?Whta is the difference between them?Am not a pro and am new to digital photography.Thanks. Happy new year!!

Your camera uses SD memory and I would recommend a card with 1GB as a minimum size.
Using a fast card is a good idea, because it will help your camera operate very smoothly and also shooting 'movies' really requires a fast card.
My recommendation would be a 1GB Sandisk Ultra II or the even faster, Extreme III SD memory card (they are very reliable and come with a lifetime warranty).

Your previous A80 (released in 2003), basically makes use of CF (Compact Flash) memory enjoying cards, that are bodily larger (very almost double) in length than SD (look after digital) memory enjoying cards. So, you may basically use CF enjoying cards on your digital camera...

The SD is becoming more common, and is a little smaller apart from that there is not a lot of difference in quality etc, try this site for some prices and comparisons

None really.
The SD is slightly thicker.
Both will store masses of pics.
Check Amazon for price comparison.
I just bought a Viking 1gig SD for £8!

i would say that sd cards win hands down every one seems to sell them and they are reasonably priced you can even buy them at boot sales and markets apart from the internet
