Yes, people are human. She may see beyond that after she finds out how wonderful you are but it will always be a factor.
Also depends on how bad the skin is, are we talking about a pimple or leprosy here?
A good dermatologist can also help a lot these days.

Unfortunately, bad skin really does turn most women off. It sounds superficial, but this is just the first impressions stage. I ended up really liking a guy who was a bit of a pizza face, after being friends with him for a while.

Yes, sometimes. What skin are you referring to? The skin on the face or the hands, legs and body? Whatever it is, one should see a doctor and find a cure if they really have severe skin problems. It doesn't turn only women off, sometimes it also turn off friends and even relatives.

I'll tell you the same thing I told a very young (19) balding friend.
there is someone out there that will love you for you (your personality as well as everything about you) If someone dosen't like you just because of the way you look then they weren't worth it to begin with. There is more to each and every one of us than the look of the cover we carry around. some one worth starting a relationship with will see you in a different light and love you for the person you are. If all your looking for is sex, then unfortunately that is an area all about looks not personality. be who you are.

Gawd. Its terrible, but unfortunately it does. Same for being fat, bald, too short, too hairy...
However - bad skin goes away eventually... so its not all bad.
