You seek counseling. Because this is called depression and most people who suffer from depression can't just "get over it." They need professional help.

It would be great to know your age because it could give an indication of what phase of life you are in. It is normal to get sad, disappointed and hurt over situations. Heartache is a bit deeper and sometimes you can feel that life is all downhill. It isn't. Life is not a game show where you can win a prize or have 'quick answers' for events. Each day that you live is called experience. Experience that teaches you how to cope with what is in the future. Having older people, parents and friends to talk with about situations that are a bit too much helps you gain experience faster. However, sometimes the deeper pain and more confidential the issue, the more help you will need and professional guidance helps as well. There are priests(religious authorities), doctors, counsellors, pschologists, etc who can assist. At times medication is administered to assist because it is physical - chemical imbalance/hormonal.
I had a tendency to keep to myself when I was hurting so I changed that. I get involved in a group activity with friends or talk to others. What I liked best is doing something nice for others (e.g. buy a thank you card for the bus driver), to cheer them up. I feel good after because I made a good impact on someones life.

Dude, let me tell you something, no matter where you are right now, life is really worthy of living ...You are just goign through a stage of testing ... Don't surrender to your emotions ....you are the one who have to master them .....!!! feeling depressed for sure can last longer , but it depends on the actions , you have taken ....
If you have a problem you cannot manager alone , here are the steps to do :
1. Immediately get some counseling from a therapist or psychologist and get as many sessions as you can..
2. Talk about the problem you have with as many trustworthy friends as you can.
3. Don't let yourself down, get activities, find something you are still interested in ..
4. Resist drink and smoking as much as possible ..Stay as much moral as possible, calm and relaxed ...Those things will only destroy you more, and get you more depressed...
5. Resist your emotions, say to yourself everyday, and everytime, you feel down or pressured by the feelings, that you are the master of mind, emotions, and body, I command you emotions of x, y, z, to get out of my mind by the power of my inner will ...(say it very often as much as you can)
6. Sometimes, I go for some jogging , and try to say that ..
7. Have condifence that you will have victory over you bad emotions.
8. eat very well and balanced, take magnesium, drink a lot of water and take multi-vitamins.
9. If possible, surround yourself with positive people only.
10. And if you are a spiritual person and have a belief, pray ..have faith, get connected to the inner you in a very quiet place, and get connected to your inner spiritual entities and talk to you problems about them regularly ...
11. Work hard on changing your perception of the problem in the positive way..

Don't worry, it's temporary, you will heal ..Remember you are a physical being, and an emotional being ..emotions ARE NOT REAL..remember ...they are just sensations in your mind resulting from your perceptions of the problem .. and remember that disapointment is a part of life, no matter how it affects you , you must do your best to recover your life back again ...don't surrender, and don't get crazy ..you are the master in the house of your body ...!! no emotions can put you out of it or drive you insane ..remember that ...!!!

Hope that really helps ..and have courage ..fight , have faith and you will win ..!!

Good Luck !!

Look at all the GOOD things you have: Is your body physically right (ie: no crooked limbs, you can walk, etc.)? Be thankful! Some people don't have those choices. Can you get out of bed, dress yourself, etc.? Take pride in the big things you can do...humble yourself and realize that the small things are a gift.

First of all you need to talk to friends or family about why you feel this way. Go get some professional help, nothing is worth dying over epsecially not an ex boyfriend or girlfriend.

Been there and it is hard to get out of a depression on your own.
You need to involve yourself with friends and family, people who will cheer you and engage you in conversation and activities.
I do hope 2007 sees you in better spirits.

If you are feeling this way you need to get medical help. When feeling depressed you have a chemical imbalance and you need to see a doctor to help you get through it
