Do the Pharisees = Muslims?
No offense here. Just trying to understand your religion.
Jesus asked the Pharisees a hard question.
Matthew 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.
43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?
46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.
I know you don't read the New Testament. This quote from Jesus came from the Old Testament.

rocky road asked, "Do the Pharisees = Muslims?"
Anna is partly correct, "The question is moot . . ." The "Pharisees" were the elite class of Jewish priests and leaders that had evolved and grew to power since the time of Moses. What Jesus was trying to say, and the main reason they were so afraid, was that all men are brothers (equals). That there is no one group or class or family ahead of another in the eyes of God.

that's not from the old testament. Jesus never said anything in the old testament.
Matthew 22:32 I AM the G-d of Abraham, and the G-d of Issac, and the G-d of Jacob. G-d is not the G-d of the dead, but of the living.
37: Jesus said unto him [the pharisees] thou shalt love the Lord thy G-d with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38: this is the first and great commandment.
39: and the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40: on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets
Just wanted to add in a few scriptures around the quote that you offered, just to get it out there.
this quote is Jesus asking the Pharisees (learned Jewish men) a thought provoking theoretical question- how is the Messiah (the Christ) both the child (descendant) of David, and his Lord (the Lord he speaks to, who promised even then to give him strength and destroy his enemies). What on earth does is have to do with Islam? what are you even asking? if your question is are Muslims a learned Jewish sect then obviously no.

A Muslim, A Christian. One was a MUSLIM before being a Christian. Christianity is based off of Pagan beliefs. Constantine was a Pagan.
Christian teaching, Jesus and Jewish people all have background in Muslim/Islam. We are all the same. A supreme religion is one that can relate to the other and accept each as a religion. I think just that way. I was raised a Christian and I married a Muslim. It is easy to live with one another we accept each other.
Take my advice how you like but if you can't accept one then your Christianity faith is not much.

We muslims do not say that Jesus pbuh had a father ,, Jesus pbuh was given to the Virgin Mary without a father nor God neither a Human ..
Mary was ans still is the most pure woman to ever step earth, and we muslims have a huge respect for Jesus and Mary.
I don't think there's anything about Jesus in the old testament, because it was written before him .. or i don't understand the chaos you have in your altered bible.
May God show you the way ,,, God is greater than to have a son ...

The question is moot because Mohammad had not revealed Islam to the world at the time of Jesus. So, there is no way the Pharisees could have been Muslims---the way you are using the example.

Muslims are not Pharisees. We worship the same God that Abraham (peace be upon him) worshipped - Allah.
Allah is the Arabic word for The God. If you dont believe me, check the Arabic Bible (http://www.islamic-awareness.org/Quran/Sources/Allah/BibAllah.html)
I quote:
(841) “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.” (Catholic Catechism, pgs. 242, 243)

I'm trying to understand your question here. What do you mean by "Do the Pharisees = Muslims?"? Surely you know that the Islamic faith came several hundred years after the death of Jesus, yes?

The Qu'ran teach's that the Torah and the Gospels are the true word of God but the Muslims nor the Qu'ran are in agrement with the true word of God. They will not accept any truth prior to the Qu'ran or Muhammed as if God did not exist prior to the Qu'ran....It is a tough barrier to get around only God can reveal the truth to us and I pray that every man will seek the truth.

Enuff with the racism already. They can be who they want to be. How does it affect you if they want to be muslims?
