Can anyone giveme any good websites through which i can learn french for free? Give sites in which i can download material and learn at home...since i dont have a 24x7 net connection....

You only learn the basics, but it's a good beginning, and you'll know some French. When you already know some words and verbs etc. you can go to the French yahoo answers and try to understand what they're saying. Or read a French comic book, that's also very useful!
