no,first off your parents leaving you is their loss,im sure your'e a great kid2nd its good of your grandad to take care of you,3rd you don't have to rush to have a girlfreind, lots of kids your age don't,that will happen when the time is right4thtry to talk to someone a counsler, other adult, people your age,you just need a little confidence in yourself, talk to your grandad about getting a job and the reasons you want one,new clothes etc.and sorry but you need your education it will help to take you where you need to go!and don't stop smiling even when you feel like sh-t!
GOODLUCK!

You haven't given up - and that is an AMAZING thing. And - since you're bothering to write about it -- at least you want to DO something about it... and that shows that you are not a loser.

No, your life is NOT the worst - but at the moment your life obviously seems like the pits to yourself... so lets think how you can improve it...?

Is it your fault - no. But if your life ends up in the pits, it will be...

1. I know you only wrote about your parents and your grandfather etc. so that we can get a picture of what its like NOT because you feel sorry for yourself --- as long as you don't dwell on the past.. .or the bad stuff too much, you're okay. The trick is to look for the GOOD stuff - as this will lift your spirits and give you motivation to take some further steps.

2. So - from your words, the good stuff is:
a) You're smart [I can tell from the way you are writing]
b) You're brave [cos you put on a happy face, even though you're not]
c) You're young [you've got your whole life ahead of you]
d) You're in SCHOOL [ you're getting there - even if it is slow!]
e) You've got a home, family and the basics for life, including a TV and computer!

3. Your grandfather has a point - don't mess up your schooling for a job. It may suck at present - but in the future, you'll be glad of an education. NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES TO GET IT.

4. Having no friends/girlfriend doesn't make you a failure -- it just means you haven't met people that think like you, or who shares your interest...

5. Think of something POSITIVE you would like to do OTHER THAN WATCHING TV and COMPUTER.... are there no sports clubs in your area? Can you not go fishing/cycling/roller blading... ANYTHING other than sitting at home? How bout learning to play an instrument? How bout the gym... or even just jogging? How bout SOCIAL CLUBS, or MUSIC CLUBS?

More than anything - STOP FRETTING ABOUT YOUR LIFE - it just makes you miserable. Seriously. You are young... things are seldomly great when you're 19... but you're on the right track, if you feel DISASTTISFIED, because it means you want to DO SOMETHING ELSE... and if you focus on WHAT you would LIKE to do, instead of what you're doing... things will slowly start working for you.

I'm hearing a somewhat lonely individual who wants things to be better. You sound bitter and angry (lotsa fights)
I think you are very resourceful and if your smart enough to build your own computer, you can earn a living. IF YOU want to make things better, stop waiting for someone else to do it for you, you're 19 you don't need anyone's permission. You have an unfortunate past, but don't let it anchor the the rest of your life down, you can rise above it if you want too, but it's clear that YOU are going to have to do it. Stop dwelling on what you don't have and look at what you do have. I hate to suggest this, but maybe joining the military might be the way out for you, they'll house you, pay you, train you and put your brain to good use. Once you get on your feet, maybe you will see that you can help out your grandfather. I joined the ilitary when I was quite young, My mother was dead set against it and cried a lot when I told her, but I decided and had commited myself before I even told her so she couldn't talk me out of it, it was the best thing I ever did. Even my Mom admits that now.

Ignore the ones that tell you anything negative because by the way you explained your lifestyle you have simply become a man and whether you have something worth money or not like the OTHERS don't you mind fk about the GED because if you failed it 5 times that only means that you have to stay in school. I came to Texas back in the early 80's trying to get a job and go to college and even though I haven't gotten there yet I have proved to the rest of the teenagers that drugs are not the answer. P.S. I still have the only thing I brought with me to Texas...my sleeping bag.

You should be proud of yourself ... building your own computer!

Yes, you have had challenges in your life. But let's put this into perspective:

You are fortunate that your grandfather has been there for you. He is not perfect and may sleep a lot, but he is also getting older. He may not be the perfect guardian, but he loves, you, has provided you with a safe environment in which to grow up and plenty of opportunity to do well in school.

You get into fights with other kids because you have anger issues. Have you ever had any counseling about how you feel about your parents abandoning you? You need to uncover some of these emotions and not allow them to control you. It is difficult for adults, let alone children and even 19 year-olds to sort out a lot of similar feelings on his or her own. Speak to your doctor about where you can get some good counseling ... it may make a huge difference in your life and help you to better formulate some goals for your future.

The BEST thing you can do is value yourself and make conscious decisions about positive things you want to do with your life. If you don't love yourself, who will love you? LOVE YOURSELF. Be good to yourself. Take care of yourself. From the sound of things, you may be interested in going into computers one day ... technical vocational school after high school? Check it out!

You do not have a bad life ... EVERYBODY has a cross to carry. NOBODY has a perfect life. Yes, some folks are spoiled and have a lot of material things, but aren't necessarily happy either. Happiness is a CHOICE and life is what YOU make it. You can spend your life blaming others, or you can get up and take responsibility and action for the kind of life you want to lead. ((No, I am not preaching, I am telling it to you exactly like it is. You can choose to believe me now or believe me 30 years from now ... again, your choice. :-)

NO you do not have the worst life ever. Your life is totally normal. Did you get butt f*uck by your parents? Do you go for days without food? Do you have to sleep on the streets? A computer with internet connection is already quite a priviledge.

So stop thinking like you're the worst case scenerio in the world and start working and brainstorming towards improving your situation to make yourself happy.

Then you will have the right to complain.

NO YOU DO NOT HAVE THE WORST LIFE EVER, THER ARE PEOPLE WHO LIVE LIVES WITHOUT KNOWING WHERE THE NEXT MEAL IS GOING TO COME FROM, THEY ARE OTHERS WHO HAVE NO PLACE TO SLEEP , THEY ARE RAPED AND ABUSED , THE WORLD CAN REALLY BE CRUEL OUT THERE. WHATEVER SITU YOU ARE IN RIGHT NOW, AND AM SURE IT FEELS REALLY UGLY, YOU MUST KNOW THAT IT AI NT PERMANENT. ONE DAY YOU WILL LOOK BACK AND SAY DAMN I LIVED THAT LIFE, YOU WILL BE THE ONE TO DRIVE THOSE FANCY CARS AND WEAR EM NICE CLOTHES.
EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON IN THIS LIFE, YOU MAY NOT GET IT TODAY BUT LATER , IT WILL BE A LESSON YOU NEVER WOULD HAVE LEARNED ANY OTHER WAY. OR A PREPARATION TO YOUR ADULT LIFE.
MOST GREAT LEADERS COME FROM LITERALLY NOTHING, LOOK AT NELSON MANDELA, KOFFIE ANNAN, , CELEBRITIES, MICHEAL JACKSON, FINE HE HAS ISSUES BUT HIS EARLY CHILDHOOD WAS NOT GOOD, BEN CARSON, OPRAH WINFREY, I CAN GO ON AND ON BUT WILL LEAVE YOU WITH LITTLE BIT, "HANG IN THERE, JUST HOLD ON A LITTLE LONGER,BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND WORK HARD, IT MAY NOT BE IN SCHOOL BUT MAY BE A TALENT OR GO GIVEN HOBBY" YOUR LIFE IS SOMEBODY`S DREAM. DONT GIVE SOME LOVE TO YOURSELF..

the only one that can change the situation is you....you can blame everyone around you for the life you have for a time...but at some point, you will need to stop the blame game and take matters into your own hands...take responsibility for yourself....study harder...get some help with school work and buckle down....you write so obviously you can read.....that could be your entertainment and reading is very educational too.....turn the negatives into positives....good luck
