It's all in their attitude and outlook on life. Many people bring upon their own luck.
If you are a pessimist, then most likely bad things will happen because you will lack the ability to try due to your belief of failure.
Of you are an optimist, most likely good things will happen because you will strive to succeed and do your best due to your belief that you will be rewarded.

I used to feel the same up until I joined a Bible Study class...get to know G_ds Word. You will discover hidden treasures that the world cannot offer. You will then see how blessed you are and feel like you won the biggest lottery. You have nothing to lose but have LOTS to gain. My friend the joy, peace, love and happiness I have is undescribable.
I pray the Lord directs you to the right one.
