Why do I get heartburn when I drink water?

First you probably have over active acid production in your stomach. AS far as why heartburn after drinking water I remember in chemistry class we were told if you mix water and acid always use abc order in other words a comes before w so when mixing the two always pour the acid into the water never the other way as to prevent a volatile reaction. I know when consuming you have no choice but I believe this is why you have your problem. Maybe you should see a Doc about the over active acid production. Good Luck!!
