Are you heer boyfriend? If you are, I think she was very disappointed because you're willing to give her up for another guy; and aren't willing to fight for her. Even if you said you'd back off "gentelemanly", it's not manly. But if you're still courting her, it's a sign of weakness of what you just said to her. If you really want the girl, then fight for her heart! If you lose the fight, at least you did all your best and didn't lose much.

Because she wanted you to stand up for yourself, and she was enjoying all The attention. Women are different, in that all of them crave attention(some, but not all men do). when more than one guy is flirting, a girl is like in 7th heaven. You disappointed her when you backed off, she probably thought you had more stamina. By showing your fear of confrontation, you displayed one your shortcomings.

Because if you really liked her, you would never back out and allow another guy to sweep her off her feet.
By saying that, you are actually saying, you aren't really sincere anyway.

Because you didn't ask her or let her choose. MAY BE she was hoping for you to get jealous? In every relationship, it is better to ask and do.
But if you are the one who just wants to walk out, just do that. No need to look for excuses.

is she dating him or is he just after her??? --- if he is not dating then maybe she prefers you and thats why she got upset --- if they are a couple then she needs to decide which one she prefers
