Is it possible that there is one God no matter what the language or beliefs are that each religion hold. What if it's the same being? Why can that not be considered?

I mean to ask this question in relation to the intense way that people of different religions claim that their god is 'the one true god'.

Allah is just the Arabic word for God, but the problem is that different religions have different concepts of God. For example Christians believe that God is a trinity and Islam clearly rejects this concept. Muslims believe that the Quran is God's word and Christians don't believe this. So they have a lot to argue about. But both of them and Jews as well believe that there is only one God. So they just have the option to believe that others either worship a "false" God that doesn't exist or that others worship the one true God in a "wrong" way or have a "wrong" concept of him.

There can only be one God anywhere ... if there are two or more gods, then the universe would not be organized and everything would be a chaos.

we Muslims believe in that one god, the same one that everybody who worships god believes in, like christains and jews.

BUT , we think differently about God, we do not believe that god the all powerful needs a "son" .. or a mother for his son ... we do not believe that God had to sacrifice his so called son to forgive the so called original sin.

God is all powerful and needs nothing from anything, we are the ones who need to worship god in the best way possible, which the way God taught us through the prophets.

The christians made religion a joke with these accusations and because of them many people are starting to reject God, because the christian way is based on closing the mind and just believing the unbelievable.

Because Allah is the true God. Literally, Allah in Arabic means "The God". Check out the Arabic version of the Bible:
http://www.islamic-awareness.org/Quran/Sources/Allah/BibAllah.html

In addition, the Popes since ages have confirmed that Muslims worship the same One Eternal God, The Creator and Sustainer of the Worlds.

(841) “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.” (Catholic Catechism, pgs. 242, 243)

God knows best.

Happy Eid al-Adha and Happy New Year.

Peace and Love.

God is not a man that He should lie. God who is the Father of Jesus Christ is claimed in the Bible as the only true and living God. This consistent claim is made to all peoples of all nations of the world. God does not say one thing to one group and contradicts Himself by saying another thing to another group of people. He cannot do this because God is Truth. God must present the same Truth to different groups of people as He is the Truth. Anything presents to any group against this Truth is a lie against the Truth and is of the evil one.

If Allah is Jehovah, He would say the same things twice. When the Qu'ran and the Bible will say the same things, then I might say Allah is God. But there are the big differences: Isaac - and the Jews - versus Ishmael - and the Arabs; the food laws of Moses (see Leviticus) versus the food laws of Muhammad, and many others.
Allah and Jehovah, the God of Christians and Jews, are two different gods.

WHY ARE THEY SEEN AS DIFFERENT? Maybe because they are. Maybe your premise is wrong. Maybe Allah is not God.

THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD. But if one is worshipping a god that is not God, then we are not worshipping the same ONE TRUE GOD. You'll see in the Bible that there was God and there were gods -- but only the God of Abraham was the ONE TRUE GOD.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE A BIBLE, GET ONE. IF YOU HAVE ONE, READ IT. IF YOU READ IT, ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT TO GUIDE YOU IN STUDYING IT. IF YOU LEARN IT, DO IT.

In my eyes there is one God, what i see in the difference in religions is the details other than God.

For Chirstians, we believe jesus is the son of God, for Muslims Jesus was a prophet.

So even though we all do not agree on the other details, we still all believe in "GOD" whatever his name may be in our different languages.
