Actually, though no Moslem will ever agree, the al Hajrul Aswad and the Ka'aba were the things of the Faith of al Lah, aka Hubal, the Moon God.

It's a long story.

Happy New Year!!!!!

The word Alah has appeared in an english translation of the Bible spoken by Jesus(pbuh). It appears 17 times on the first page of Genesis in the Arabic Bible, there are Arabian Christians so it isn't fair to say Allah is the moon god of the Arabians.

Greetings!

For starters, please find any verses of the holy Quran or any prophetic traditions that say anything at all about "moon god". See if you can find any.

"And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Prostrate not to the sun nor to the moon, but prostrate to Allah Who created them, if you (really) worship Him." (Qur'an 41:37)

Secondly, read academic books written by prominent historians all around the world, i.e. The Oxford Encyclopaedia of Islam by John L Esposito, Muhammad The Prophet by Karen Armstrong, etc. Both are respectable members of the high-level group of United Nations Alliance of Civilisations.

For detailed information, kindly spend a few hours of your time reading:

I'm sorry but I cant post it here as it's very lengthy.

Happy Holidays.

Peace and Love.

Allah means G-d. Just as El means G-d and Yahweh means G-d. El was the name of the head god of the Caananites and Yahweh as also the head god of an ancient cult around Mt. Sinai. It is a title, not a name. The true name of G-d is unutterable by man. It's like saying "the Lord" was really a British noble. No- it is a title of greatness that was offered to man, and then to G-d.

No.

Allah is God for Arabic. Before Muhammad came the people used to worship many gods, but also believed that there was another God. But I can assure you He wasn't the moon!

I find it interesting that the date of the most important christian celebration is dictated by the phase of the moon too. Maybe Allah and God are the same

Allah is the One true God, creator of Heaven and Earth. He is the God of all men only men deviate from Him and managed to make other religion and other gods. He is the God who made Adam and Eve.

"Allah" is the *only* God of the Islam religion. Muslims only believe in that one God.
