Does this have to do with age? I'm 13 and a C cup, though I'm thin.

they make underwires in every size, so you can either buy them or the ones without, its really up to you...I wear them with wire just for some extra support.

There is no mandatory size for an underwire. It is more a personal choice. A lot of girls find that an underwire gives them more support, and a little bit of lift, even in a A or B cup. Some women in a D or larger think that the wires just poke and squeeze their breast to much.

You will just need to try them and see for your self. the wires will provide more shaping for your breast than a soft cup will, so make extra sure you are getting the correct size. You can also look for a no-poke underwire, or a padded underwire, not a padded bra, just a little extra padding around the wire so that it won't poke you

older women have saggier boobs so may feel like like they need the extra support of an underwire to keep them from spilling out the bottom. younger girls breasts are generally firmer and can usually get away without an underwire, but some may prefer it. It's all personal preferance and not inherent to any particular size range. congrats on being thin and having C cups.

Ripple is silly. Anyhow, there is no size where you must wear an underwire bra. Sometimes a girl with heavier breasts [at least C cup & up] feels she needs the support of a underwire bra however you have to try several on & see if you are comfortable wearing one.

You don't ever need to wear under-wires. I always buy bras that don't have them. If I can't find a bra without them I buy it and take the wires out. No need to be uncomfortable. Best wishes. Happy New Year!

You don't HAVE to wear underwires.
I hated them as a 38J, and I hate them as a 38C cup. They dig into you.
