Not particularly. I do think it will be better for the mindset of the average Iraqi though. Saddam Hussein was like a boogey man in these peoples minds, a constant specter which inspired fear. They can now move forward without the fear that he will ever come to power again. They did a poll of Iraqis early on in the trial which confirmed this fact. A majority said they believed he would beat the charges and regain his grip on the country.

HE GOT WHAT HE DESERVES FOR KILLING OF MORE THAN MILLION IRAQIS, AND ABOUT THE SAME NUMBER FROM OTHER NATIONS,But...has Iraq been a better place after he brought down and eventually executed?? certainly not,, there was no sectarian war during Saddam rule, there was no corruption as it is now,, beside all that , for the ordinary Iraqi, they had fuel for heat, had electricity, medical supplies and care, schools were open .... and they HAD SECURITY to walk in the streets of Baghdad,, and to go earn their living!!! people who succeeded Saddam by the help of the American administration are not better than the former dictator,, they are more brutal than him,,, if he used to kill his enemies,, they are killing all ,,,, Since the occupation liberation ( So called) of Iraq and Dead-mocracy of the US no one in Iraq feels safe but the people who lives in the green zone,,,,,wake up nation ranging a civil war in Iraq is the plan,, how many dies it doesn't matter,,, so what matters?! figure it yourself..
So back to the original question ,, yes it is ,,,but there are plenty more to be executed too to get a real better world

To a negligible extent, given all the other replicas of Saddam in the world. As to showing the execution, it's just the last episode of the whole story: hist trial, his execution, showing the execution. None of the episodes was ethical, neither was the last one. It's all the same message to be conveyed to the Arab world. Has nothing to do with any good claimed intentions.

Iraq was corrupt before, during, and after Suddam! Killing him served two evils and even Suddam finally saw it would happen. Saddam was cruel and ruled with corruption and intemadation. I dont think he was a threat too the U.S. But to his nieghbors, he made them fearful. The U.S. never saw this man as a real threat to our society or the world. Oil! Oil is about Money, Power, and Control. If you take away any nations 3 main political powerful means, then you own that country! You can crumble it or build it up your way! No the world will not be a better place because there are 100 other men who will take Saddams place in either some other country or in Iraq too.

I think the world should be a better place now that he is no longer in power, bearing in mind he hasn't been in power since around 2003. However i do think that we may find a backlash from his supporters and extremist groups.
Hopefully Iraq will be a better place for there people, as Saddam has caused so much death and destruction to not only them but there neighboring countries.
So in conclusion as sad as it is to say, his death may very well make the world a better place...

Anytime an evil man is removed from existence the world is better for it.
As to showing his execution, I have no desire to see it, have not expended one moment looking for it, nor will I. People have become more callous over the last 40-50 years or at least that kind of behavior seems to be more accepted. Sort of falls in line with the advent of the technological revolution.

Yes, actually I do. Saddam was directly responsible for the death of almost one million Muslims. The single largest killer of Muslim in history. The hanging was videotaped and aired so that the families of his victims could have closure and to battle the conspiracy theorists that are already all over the internet.

The betterment of the world depend on EVERYONE of us doing our part to promote peace and love toward each other. Until then, strife and evil will go on. Saddam is only one man, there are many like him in the world.

My wife will still be running the streets. My kids will still be under-educated. My electric bill will still be 4 times what it should be.
Over-all, I'll have to go with a big, NO. I could care less if Saddam is dead. Now ask me about King Bush...

i dont think so.there are many bad ppl in this world who are still roaming free.Isn't Bush himself an evil person?
he killed so many iraqis just to bring justice to this one man?
and even if Saddam is dead that doesn't stop the killings that are still going on in Kashmir,Bosnia and Palestine.
Evil can never be eradicated, but subdued, yes that can happen.
We can all try our best as individuals to atleast contibute to the community by watching ourselves and accepting tolerance against the different cultures and religions in this world.
