Well the transmission has to be changed,you will need a torque converter and an automatic flywheel, add cooler lines and a radiator or a transmission cooler also you need some kind of shifting mechanism,and in order for it to be done right you will need a automatic brake pedal and a neutral safety switch that needs to be hooked up.

It can be done. You'll have to find an auto made for your specific car and all that goes with it. Linkage, etc. It won't be an easy task. You'd better get a mechanic to help you or take it somewhere.
