The best thing to use is a mixture of:
Clorox
Ariel (washing machine detergent) & water
Fill the kitchen sink with warm water, add the clorox & ariel (only works with ariel somehow)
place the glasses, leave for sometime & then wash them
also works with spoons, forks & knives
It gives them a very nice sparkle.

If you do decide to use bleach , be sure to rinse it with cold water not hot. anyways, the one and only way to clean your wine glasses if you don't have a dishwasher is to place ice and salt, let stand for as long as 20 to 30 min, even though salt has a drying agent that most would think would be the wrong method, none the less its results are 100% affective. after letting your glasses hold, while still wet take a wool cloth and clean while the ice is still solid. when you do this you will be pleased at the results. remember, just like all things that stand with time, calcium will always be your enemy.

Try cleaning with CLR or Limeaway. I would try diluting either one of these first then gradually make stronger if needed. Whichever you use be sure to wash thoroughly with soap and water. I would wash at least twice before use.
