Symonds is considered an allrounder. He has underperformed in the test arena. But after scoring his maiden test century, his confidence will be at the required level to excell in Test Match Cricket. I believe without Warne and Pig, we will draw more tests, but not lose more. No spinners have performed well enough to warrant test selection aside from Magill. I think we need another leggie like Cullen Bailey or Cameron White. Cameron White's bowling has gone nowhere in the last 4 yrs though.

Andrew Symonds is considered as an allrounder. He is placed at 5 in LG ICC Rankings for Allrounders in ODI.

Since Australia have enough bench strength they will be able to cope up the vacuum created by Shane Warne and GD Mc Grath
