Depends on the spec though. If you're having the elephant hyde seats they've got to catch the elephant.
Seriously, if you're having an unpopular paint colour it will take longer and unusual accessories may take a bit longer to fit. Plus you've ordered just before christmas which is bound to make it take a bit longer as all them Germans will have their towels by the pool.
Be patient, you don't want a friday afternoon car do you?

It generally takes about 3-4 hours for a car to pass completely through the assembly process, from body panels to finished car.
Only very low-volume, mostly hand-built cars (Rolls-Royce, Bentley Arnage, etc.) take days.

The delay will be in transporting it from the factory to the dealer, especially during this holiday period. Most of the year I would expect it at the dealer within a week, but you'll have to allow more for Christmas. Then you'll have to give the dealer a couple of days to clean, inspect and prepare it (and fit any dealer-fit accessories you may have ordered).

Couple of weeks to get through the system. You can write off the week beginning 25th and part, at least, of the week beginning 1st Jan. Then there's the delivery lag as well . . .
