is a dell inspiron 7500 and i have no idea how to put it back. i still have all the pieces. and it seems it should be able to go back but it just keeps coming off. anyone know a quick fix? =]
i can take a picture of it if it would help. but all the answers i have seen just say click it back. but that doesny do anything...

Just pop it back on. I had the CTRL key pop off my laptop, and i just popped it back on.

It might help if u take a picture of it...
Also, maybe you can like push it in REALLY REALLY hard or make sure the the little circle thing on the actual keyboard goes into the hole on the bottom of the "t" key. And if nothing else works, you can like make it look like its in by pushing it really hard in and when they come to pick it up, you can close it and if they notice, be like you dont no that u didnt do that... Im not telling u to do anything, just suggesting.

Yes, just aim in position and push hard for it to catch back. All keyboards' keys are designed by just catching by latch. Alternatively you may repay your friend by purchasing a foldable keyboard that is easy to keep -- some sort of rubbery type like a sheet of rubber.

just snap the key back on. Their designed for people to put them back on in case it falls off. I've taken keys off my laptop a few times to clean any dirt under them and Ive successfully been able to put it back on.

There are some pretty flimsy plastic pieces that might be broken. You probably owe him a new keyboard.
