it's real simple: the reason that London and the rest of the UK get rain all the time becouse of the island's proximity to the North Sea and the Atlantic. Cold fronts from here in the states,low pressure cells and storms which get caught in the wind currents. At least that's my reasoning.

Because of the gulf stream. It caries warm water from the Caribbean towards the UK. Once, there it evaporates, giving you that warm weather you like so much (look at Siberia or Canada), but then condensing in the cooler air and falling, giving you the rain that you don't like.

It doesn't, it's a misconception. However, it is wetter because of the warm air drifting over the Atlantic causing more evaporation and therefore rain.

Yes the weather can be poor here, but in case you hadn't noticed, we're still largely under 'drought' orders, having had a very hot summer. Plus it is very mild and the current rainy spell is the first in weeks... so there!

it gets all the first of the moisture dumped from the atlantic - actually ireland gets it first - then wales - then london
