You can decide to generally trust people with the knowledge that some will prove to be untrustworthy; but if and when they do, you can just know it was their failure and not yours. That's when it comes to whether you trust someone's motives or morality.
When it comes to you own life and your own safety, its not a bad thing to trust only yourself for the most part.

I put God first He shows me who is trustworthy and who makes choices not to be trusted. He also shows me how to be at peace so I can still love that person however know I am not required to wear the behavior. John 14:6

I believe there is someone you can always trust and that is nobody but god. Trust his judgments and pray for the best and he will put people in your way who are trustworthy.
You will never gain peace if you don’t trust anybody.

well hopefully you have the ability to trust . but if you don't then you pray for it that God will put forgiveness in your heart and make it soft again so you can give people a chance .
trust is a difficult one but i think most people deserve a chance and if they mess up then take it away .

I really don't know what to do. But I sure know it must feel so hard. Rather than looking outside for someone to trust, try first looking inside yourself to identify the real reasons/experiences that pushed you that far.
