Are you serious? It was wrong to hang Saddam? Do you know ANYTHING about what he did in Iraq? For 30 years?
Obviously not.
He released Sarin Nerve Gas on WHOLE VILLAGES of people. Mothers died with their babies - also dead - still in their arms.
WHOLE families were wiped out in minutes.
He would have people handcuffed, taken to the top floor of a 10 story building, and then have them pushed over the side. Anyone who survived THAT (I'm sure there weren't many) were shot in the head.
New brides were raped in front of their husbands, and then executed.
If it was your mother, father, sister, or brother who'd been executed by Saddam, you'd be singing a WHOLE different song - and if you say you wouldn't, you're a bald faced liar.
Bush didn't execute Saddam, you idiot. IRAQ executed Saddam.
And I, like most everyone with a WORKING brain, am GLAD he's dead.
Wake up. Open your eyes. Learn about what he did before you defend him, otherwise you just look like an uneducated jackass.
Which is EXACTLY what this question makes you look like anyway.

Also : I think it wasn't the best solution for this thing. It will only cause a lot of new victims and besides - he was executed when the american situation in irac isn't a best one. So to sum it up - Saddam went away as a triumphator. He doesn't suffer now. anymore. Being a prisoner for such a person would be worse than death.

Bush had nothing to do with Saddam's execution. The only thing he is responsible for is catching one of the world's most evil men. The government of Iraq gave him a trial and gave him the punishment they chose. Who are we to tell them what to do with the man that killed more of his fellow countrymen then anyone else. If Saddam tortured and killed someone you loved you would probably be singing a different tune. The fact is you don't understand the mind set of insurgents and the people who are trying to kill innocent Americans. The only thing they understand is bombs blowing up in their front yards. This the way you deal with tyrants and their followers. You take away their hope and then they have no reason to fight. Keeping Saddam behind bars only keeps "hope alive" for these crazy people. Remember you can't deal with people who are insane. Your talking about people who fly airplanes into buildings filled with moms, dads, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends of ours who only made the mistake of going to work. Extreme tactics must be used so they hear the message. The message is, "if you kill innocent people we will catch you and let the families of the innocent people deal with you." We don't negotiate with terrorist and we show no weakness in dealing with them. Saddam was a terroist, murderer, tyrant, extortionist, and executioner of innocent people. The guy got what the law required. When your family and friends are killed by some guy then maybe you can have a say in what happens to him. In the meantime keep living in your make believe world where everyone is rational and loves eachother but keep your naive unsympathetic comments to yourself. You insult the Iraqi people and all of us who have suffered as a result of the madness carried by people like Saddam and Osama. Wake up and realize that people who are irrational don't like you and want to kill all of us. That's the real world.

Go to the Telegraph web page and read the comments there...
Hey, Kevin V, you need to check some facts yourself. Saddam Hussein was a bad guy and did some evil stuff. He was also regarded as 'our kind of guy' when killing and maiming in a way appreciated by the US and UK. Again, check the Telegraph sites for lots of comments for and against, that are clearly more educated than your own. Oh, yeah, and now we're gonna start respecting the wishes of the people of Iraq? Wow, that never bothered our governments before, but better late than never.

If I had the choice between being abused in prison everyday for the rest of my life or dying then I would choose the latter everytime. Saddam got the easy way out, don't feel sorry for him.

If he'd spent the rest of his life in prison, the Iraqi taxpayer would be footing the bill for his imprisonment. Don't you think they've suffered enough? No, death was the only option for him.

It is within the law of Iraq, so it is right in so far as the law is correct. Unfortunately, if you take the lead in a leaders role it means you take the consequences when you are overthrown.

They were so kind to him.I would have personally burnt his balls afterwards.Anyway, it was nice to hang him and have his blood remained in him since his religion would have slit his throat to get it out.

Please remember that it was his own people that authorised and carried out the execution. We must all respect the wishes of the people of Iraq.
