yes, they do not learn that even as an adult, there are bounderies in their life. they do no learn responsibilty. they do not learn to respect authority figures especially when they get into the work force and have a boss. they tend to not like being told what to do, therefore they have trouble holding down a job, building on a career, and having any kind of meaningful relationship. they often turn to drugs, which in turn snowballs their life downhill. they tend to be abusers when they are in a relationship....and the list goes on and on

Yes.
Children and teenagers have brains that aren't finished developing, so they see the world differently, think in a way they'll never again think once they're mature, take chances, feel invincible, feel insecure, feel bored, make more questionable decisions, etc.
People tend to underestimate the intelligence of children and teenagers while overestimating their emotional maturity, and the combination of those two mistakes can result in serious problems.
Children and teenagers need increasinly more freedom as they grow older or as they show signs of certain levels of maturity, but too much freedom can be outright dangerous in young people who are not mature enough to handle it (and most young people just aren't mature enough to handle it).
They need some level of freedom that is normal for their age, and they need to be given the chance to make a few mistakes in judgment; but carte blanche in the freedom department is almost certain disaster for the majority of normal kids.
Possible increased risks/consequences resulting from too much freedom: Decisions that could end their life or destroy their future (or at least seriously damage it). The more time they have with friends, the more likely they may be influenced by them (and even the best friends can have immature ideas). Kids can think up stupid or illegal things that they think are funny and that will cause problems. They have more opportunity to conceive babies. They may try drugs or smoking. The more time they spend in cars with inexperienced and young drivers, the more likely the odds are they'll get in an accident (even if it isn't their fault but is instead a matter of an inexperienced response to another driver's bad move). They could put off homework, so their grades would suffer. They sometimes decide to do stuff like walk on thin ice or ride in canoes because its fun, and sometimes a kid will drown because he didn't know what he was doing.
Kids that are out and going to other cities can run into other groups who will pick a fight, and a disaster can occur.
They can be out looking for "interesting" stuff to do. Boys tend to find creaks, swamps, ponds, rivers, etc. Kids find fences to power plants, water towers to climb, train tracks, bad parts of town, woods, parking lots, people who'll give them rides, other kids they don't know well who drive and will speed, and on and on.
All this type of stuff is stuff that can happen any time, but the more time out and the more freedom children and teens have, the more likely it is they'll run into bad stuff.

yes. too much freedom give kids the idea that they can do whatever they want....steal, kill, bomb nations...ect. too much freedom makes not only kids but everyone take things for granted. freedom is good as long as your not too free to think your undenialble. kids often get sociopathic tendencies if left completely free. all people need boundries to keep them in the check of reality. People will think they can run all over anyone if they get the idea that they arte free to do whatever they wish anytime they want. rules arn't meant to be broken, their meant to keep people sane.
