His Dad got us into a war and neglected domestic affairs as has his son. I'm pretty sure they share their failures. Leave this question alone? Get real. The people are catching on to Bush and you can't boss around Americans anymore than Bush can with his low approval ratings.

I think Bush consults with who he thinks is wise on a perticular subject. From hearing him it seems he is careful who he picks to be around him and he seems to be optimistic. I think he would consult his dad after all he used to be president. If you want a feel for bush in a unique way go to the whitehouse website and click on the tour he gives as he explains each thing he has in his office and why he has it there reveals alot about himself.

I am not sure that he consults with him on issues, but, I am sure he talks in general about issues. Why wouldn't he talk to a former President ?

Sure, why not. I consult with my dad, and he isn't even in my line of work.

Yes, and I would imaging him starting the question off with "Daddy..."
P.s. I don't think many dislike just don't agree with his decisions.
