How about starting with a mean central character, such as a rich businessman, who refuses all requests by charity collectors and is rude to them, who later on in a twist of fate, falls on hard times, depends on local charities, but they have very little for him. He then sees things from the other persons point-of-view.

I have an excellent idea based on volunteer work that I do. I help an organization called "Books to Prisoners". I love reading. Furthermore, I was the victim of an armed robbery about 3 years ago; the boys were caught and sentenced to 25 years. I, of course, had to testify.

I have often wondered how I would feel, how I would react, what books I would send, what words I would write were any of these 3 boys' letters to cross my desk. I no longer feel any anger or fear but I do feel a lot of sorrow; they were only boys, they could have killed me but they didn't, they weren't bad kids - they just wanted $$$ for crack.

Books to Prisoners seems like a needless charity but many of these men are not allowed to access the prison libraries. Many of the prisons do not have libraries. Most of the men ask for dictionaries, Bibles, and the Quran. I see those requests as a positive sign. If I can be a part, however small, of enriching these men's lives and perhaps aiding their return to a normal society, then I think it is time well spent.

So whaddya think? See a story there about a beautiful, young woman brutalized by 3 crazed druggies? (Of course, I'm not young, and no longer beautiful, but wouldn't mind if you wrote it that way.) Had I the gifts, I would write it myself. I think of those boys constantly and pray rigorously for them...

look at everyday life ie what about bullying, name calling or generosity of people. what about people who work in voluntary services. What about famous ambassitors for the un ie angelina jolie. Have a look at people who dont get paid to maybe look after a relative like a grandmother. What about organisations like ronald mcdonald. Also look at the ethical and moral issues surrounding them. For example is it right to have childrens charities or should the government really provide for the children. Is it right that mcdonald encourages obesity then provides charities for children with cancers? What about hunger in countries around the world and the rich getting richer and countries getting richer is this justifable especially as people in thesse countries eat too much (obesity) and also throw away perfectly good food. What about the war in iraq is it just or was it really about the oil. Why did these countries who invaded iraq using the excuse of the dictator not invade botswana where the dictator magabi is. (i personally think its because they have no economic issues just some ideas for you to consider good luck

write about a charity worker who is somehow forced into it, meets a family who needs her help, and changes character.

you can realy write the same story with different points of view, and changing names and such.
