Yes. That was the only thing on bush's mind when he became president. Saddam had NOTHING to do with 9/11/2001. Finally, bush had to admit Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction, or anything else. Bush prolonged his facade for years. Gullible people believed him then, and believe him now. To this day, people are brainwashed into thinking Saddam had something to do with 9/11. Saddam was executed under false pretenses, an unnecessary death. The U.S. needs to stay out of everyone elses back yard, and clean up their own. Lies, deceit and vengeance. See the link below to get a sense of who really played their hand in 9/11. Nothing to do with Saddam, Iran or anyone else. Thanks for asking. There was never any doubt in my mind. I am not easily fooled, after all, by silly statements like, 'The Iraqis executed Saddam' -- this is absurb -- we have troops protecting the puppet prime minister and his cabinet (some of whom have been murdered by other iraqis) or they wouldn't be able to do anything. They are U.S. puppets, pure and simple!
This was ALL about Bush getting even with Saddam for threatening to kill Bush Sr. The real tyranny is in Washington, D.C. on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Oh, I just can't wait to get my complimentary Saddam cocktail stirrer stick, free from the Republican Party, one mailed to each family donating 1 million dollars or more!!! Oh Joy oh joy!

US oversight on the creation of the court system
US handpicked Judge, Prosecutor, and Defense Attorneys.
US custody of Saddam throughout the trial
US choice of which crimes to prosecute and in which order
US delivery of Saddam to the executioners.
Nope no US involvement whatsoever.

No. The US didn't try or execute him. That was all done in an Iraqi court by Iraqi officials. Yes, there were probably US officials in their somewhere, but the Iraqi judges made the calls.
