I think it as cruel and very disgusting act from US, but seems that we all have got used to it to the extend that no one feels anything anymore..
According to this religion and considering he was Muslim .. this month is holy in a way that we are not suppose to harm an ant or a tree.. ! We have executed a human !!!!! does anybody sense the crime we have done.. !!!
He did a lot in his life; I agree he needed a punishment, but not this way!

Don't blame the US. Saddam was executed by his own people, after due process according to Iraq law.
If they picked this specific date, they must have a good reason for doing so. Or ... looking at it from another perspective, they found that the gravity of Saddam's crimes did not deserve him the favor of a religious postponement of execution.

Although you and many others will never believe this, the trial and verdict was all Iraqi dominated. Hanging seems cruel, but, then again for all the killing he led against many Iraqi citizens, it may have not been cruel enough. The Iraqi government wanted to move on, so they expedited the hanging so that all would know that there was justice in Iraq.

We didn't kill him. We handed him over to the Iraqis and they killed him.
Screw Saddam, who cares what happened to him. I think they should've tortured him, that this hanging was too lenient.
