i live in south Africa,man i tell you,I've just come out hospital,motorcycle accident.
people drive like maniacs especially in joburg and Pretoria,the idea of using turn signals is as primitive as as a square wheel.

Let me ask this. Why is there a turn signal on the front of cars? Using them to show the driver behind you that you are turning is not only considerate as you state, but also much safer for both you and the car following. But as for the front of the vehicle, do you have any idea how many accidents are created by people that turn on their turn signal too soon, or forget to turn them off, and someone pulls out in front of them thinking they are turning?

On the autobahn, the only people I see using their turn signals are Americans.
Maybe the people you see in the States not using their turn signal are European, or just got used to driving here in Europe.

That is why we have road rage to call them dumba**es out. They usually have nowhere to go and all day to get there.
