The Vedas are the main scriptural texts of Hinduism, also known as the Sanatana Dharma, and are a large corpus of texts originating in Ancient India. The Vedas, regarded as śruti ("that which is heard"), form part of an oral tradition in the form of an ancient teacher-disciple tradition. As per Hindu tradition the Vedas were 'revealed' to the Rishis referred to in the texts, not composed or written by them. Even though many historians have tried to affix dates to the Vedas there is as yet no common consensus as there is for the scriptures of other religions. The Vedas are arguably the oldest surviving scriptures in the world. The Vedanta and Mimamsa schools of Hindu philosophy assert that the Vedas are apaurusheya ("unauthored"), that is, they have neither human nor divine origin, and are eternal in nature. As per Hindu tradition, the sage Vedavyasa divided the Vedas into Rig-Veda, Yajur-Veda, Sama-Veda and Atharva-Veda at the beginning of the Kali Yuga.
The word "veda" means "knowledge", and is derived from the root "vid-", Sanskrit for "know", reconstructed as being derived from the Proto-Indo-European root "*weid-", meaning "see" or "know". "*Weid-" is also the source of the English word "wit", as well as "vision" through Latin. The Czech and Slovak words for "science" are "věda" resp. "veda", derived from western Slavic "vědet" resp. "vedieť" for "know". Even the -uid in Celtic Druid seems to compliment "*Weid-" (Druid meaning knowledge of the oak).

sir, the smart isn't like concept. The Lanka king Ravana became the prisoner of circumstances. until surpanaka delivered the message of Rama, Lakshmana and sita, he became a large king, his ideas fixed on good concerns and all and sundry have no 2d opinion on him. Ravana ideas scattered and he lost his place because of the fact of a especially woman narrated with the aid of surpanaka. i desire to remind sage viswamitra who lost his tapas, potential because of the fact of a perfect menaka. so, the shakti of a woman, a perfect woman can convey down everybody whoever they could be and despite place they have. He became having the demonic features, however the essense of vedas made him non secular and enlightened him. Taking his very own brother vibhishana who became a demonic custom too, yet he stood in his place for which the tutorial of vedas, good issues gave hand. we are seeing in our existence that very own brothers of an identical be sure have distinctive features. The sita abduction gave him the call evil. i already stated that the certainty, potential of getting to grasp, ideas, will bypass after a woman. it is the potential of woman. The Lanka king, and the sage viswamitra have been a good examples for this. Now additionally we detect many prosperous got here down oftentimes because of the fact of a woman. in this non secular question, i encourage pardon back to assert that even now we see in many families that the husband divorce very own spouse and going after yet another woman. The very own daughter/son of a be sure leaves them because of the fact of an allure of affection. we've particular regulations '' do '' and '' undo ''. Ravana breaked the '' undo '' which he ought to have prevented because of the fact of his wisdom of vedas, tapas etc.,however the destiny and loose will spoiled him. He became a large king. Even on an identical time as he became in dying mattress, Rama is sending Lakshmana to get Ravana's advice approximately ruling of a kingdom. Rama respected Ravana because of the fact Ravana became a large educationist, non secular. He became the prisoner of circumstances is the only answer from me on your question.
