some of them are studying English here. it is cheap to study here. Why they study english is because it is a requirement in an admission of a university in Korea. they'll get accepted if they are good in english. Some people says that those who failed to pass a good school there in korea come to the Phils to study.
others, come here for vacation because its not cold here and the beaches are the best! most of them are honeymooners...
as i have noticed, thier fellow koreans are the ones inviting others to come. meaning, sila-sila lang ang nagnenegosyo! sa kanila rin ang pera! walang pera ang mga pinoy! kung may pera man e di sa shopping na yun!

There are countless reasons. First, as has already been reported, this is a good place to learn English and learn. even nonetheless, what has no longer yet been reported, yet is in all possibility greater in all possibility to respond to the question out of your point of view, there are a number of Koreans going to Philippines for financial opportunities. They see Philippines as a rustic common to make the main. They open shops, purchase residences, and "hire" pinay servants.

It's not only the Koreans but the rest of the world. They come here as a tourist, for business, for education, and some of them, they come here for life.
The Philippines is so beautiful and cost of living is cheap. If only each Filipino put up a business to cater to these visitors, then Filipinos don't really need to go to other countries to work.
Mabuhay!

Dragon has it right, this country should be very happy to have the financial investment that Koreans are providing, without them, tourism, for one would, be almost non-existent. They are the best thing to happen to the Philippines in a long time, and locals should make a much bigger effort to make them feel welcome, even going so far as to learn basic Korean. Most of these people are treated like sh*t.
Why?
Is everyone jealous of their ability to travel, or that they have digital cameras, or is it something else.
I have a friend with two expensive resorts and he caters a great deal to Korean honeymooners.
They're great people, friendly, quiet and well behaved, unlike a lot of the locals I see in his resorts.
I'm also sure they don't come here to learn English since the standard of English in this country is the worst I've ever heard apart from that spoken in america.Your grammar and spelling is appalling, so don't go on about how wonderfully that language is spoken here.
Filipinos should open their arms in welcome to anyone who wants to come and visit this country and spend their hard earned cash, for whatever reason. This country is bankrupt, and none of you seem to know that, grow up and inspect your national statistics and you'll find out how much you owe the rest of the World that has been taking care of you for the last thirty years or so.
To all the people in the World with open hearts and minds, I wish you a happy and prosperous New Year.
To all the rest - get stuffed.

It is a known fact that the country is in need of income, and tourism is a good source of income. Please, let us welcome the tourists while maintaining our dignities.
They have no malice except to experience the beauty of the country. Who would say that Palawan and Boracay's beaches are not fabulous? Even those who visited just once will always remember nature's grandeur.
Do let us welcome them warmly; we will learn a lot from them as they from us.
