Simple...Abbott & Costello. They were elected as Ambassadors of the Game and you are incorrect about having never attended a game. Both were in fact huge fans of the game and their whole "Who's on First" act is based exactly on attending games and observing other fans (or wanna be fans as was usually the case) who they observed asking silly questions. The historic value of their skit is priceless (I bet almost everyone knows the skit) and that single contribution is easily worthy of them having a place among the heroes of baseball. Even non baseball fans know of this but couldnt name 5 other H.O.F.ers so now you see why this has earned them their rightful place among the stars of the game.

If this is a trivia question I dont have the answer, but Im guessing they Are guys like Lamar Hunt, who was instrumental in the development of the NFl and is in multiple hall of fames for the same reason, obviously hes not old enough to be instrumental in the development of baseball but i bet its something of the sort
