I can understand speeding when other cars are around that's dangerous. However, if you're driving and there's no cars around you. You should be able to drive as fast as you want. It's your car and you paid for it, you should be able to drive as fast as you want. I hate police always giving tickets to people. Let them drive fast who cares.

i just came out of hospital ,motorcycle accident, you can be the best driver on the planet, but if some guy decides his cutting you off,no matter the speed your at,you are at fate's door.
someone cut in front of me at an intersection going over the light, there's nothing i could do,i blanked out and now i am in a wheelchair.
i'm an excellent and skilled driver and rider,i love speed, but you cant account for the people around you, especially their safety, you do that, you have blood on your hands, and that aint no way spending your life.
rather keep it safe, and alive, youl live longer.

There are reason on many levels. From what you wrote, I am gathering that if you are the only one on the road, drive fast, kill yourself in the process, who cares, as it is your life and car.

But, if you kill youself on the road, it will cost taxpayers money during the time that the police are out there "cleaning up the mess". The man hours of police on the scene, filling out all the paperwork, processing all the information, and closing the case really add up. In the end it costs the taxpayers a great deal of money if you kill yourself while speeding down the empty road.

If you want to do that, my advice is go to Montana. To my knowledge, on interstate highways, there is no daytime speedlimit when not travelling in metropolitan areas(which would be most of Montana).
