England have already lost the ashes in this series having lost all four games played so far. They might be able to win the final game of the series and salvage some respect.
The next time the ashes is played will be in 2008, England will need to improve on their current form to win back the ashes then.

We can't win this year, we've lost 4 out of 5 matches, and with the present squads we'll probably lose the fifth. Next year, both sides will have changed so who knows.
The Australian attitude to cricket is that it's a game that must be won at all costs. Any side that resorts to cheating even when they're winning (like stealing our battle plan from the changing room) is decidedly obsessive. If we want to be in with a chance, we've got to be as well trained, as aggressive and as determined as they are. So it's up to the TCCB to spend Murdoch's money in a way that brings on new players who are actually good at the game.
Otherwise, lets play cricket against Germany, France, Brazil and Argentina and play the Aussies at football.

I think not possible in this century since CA is doing fantastic job as compare to England and walse board. See there best player Kevin Peterson developed in South Africa.
You can not win the war by importing talent it should rise from the soil.

Since they are already 4-0 down with only one match to play, it seems a bit of an impossibility, maybe next time.

At 4-0 down, with one match to play, it's looking unlikely.
