With my daughter, I craved soap. Couldn't think of anything better than chowing down on a lovely, frothy bar of soap. Made my mouth water, lol. (never ate any though!)
I had mild morning sickness for a couple of weeks. It came at 2pm every day and lasted 15 minutes.
Perfect blood pressure and everything the whole way through.
Extremely painful breasts.
Mild twinges of sciatica.
For several months I had a (wait for it!) bright green discharge. Doctor couldn't figure out what it was. Then it turned bright blue. I am not lying!!
I bled once a week (every Sunday) for about three or four months.
I had really bad cramps in my calf muscles that would wake me up at night.
Had to be induced, as I was 10 days overdue.

My son.....Morning sickness from about two weeks gestation. Horrible horrible nausea 24 hours a day, until at sixteen weeks I went to my naturopath. He gave me some liquid ginger and I was fine that afternoon. Still haven't figured out why I waited so long!
I started waddling at about four weeks - very uncomfortable!! lol
My nipples felt like they were on fire for at least the first half of the pregnancy.
I had no cravings this time round.
At 19 1/2 weeks I got appendicitis and had to have my appendix removed. Ugh. Spent a week in hospital, miserable as hell. Not fun.
I got hemarrhoids.
Started having problems with high blood pressure near the end, so spent many half days in observation.
Had excruciating sciatica - couldn't walk sometimes it was so bad.
Went into labour naturally this time - much better :)

They were pretty different, anyway. My first pregnancy (daughter) was pretty good (despite what I wrote!), but the labour and birth were pretty awful. Second pregnancy was a horrible ordeal most of the time, but the labour and birth were brilliant. Go figure :)

Congrats, and good luck with number 3!

I have definitely noticed a difference between this pregnancy (a girl) and when I was pregnant with my son.

With my son, I didn't find out that I was pregnant until I was almost 4 months. Besides the absence of my periods, I wouldn't have known I was pregnant at all. I had no morning sickness, no breast tenderness or anything that would have indicated I was pregnant. Even after four pregnancy tests I still found it hard to believe and I didn't really accept that I was pregnant until the doctor confirmed it. The pregnancy itself went fairly well, but I did gain almost 60 pounds. I worked until a few days before it was time to deliver and I carried my son really low. It wasn't until I went into the hospital to have my c-section that the doctor realized that the reason I had gained so much weight was because I had pre-eclampsia. My blood pressure was so high that my doctor told me on the third day of my stay (I was in for four days) that they were afraid they could have lost me. I was on a magnesium sulfate drip and was catheterized for three out of four days, and was so delirious from my blood pressure and the c-section that I couldn't remember anything that had happened until my third day. I had friends and family that had stopped in to visit with me and my son, but I couldn't remember any of it.

With this pregnancy (I'll be 31 weeks on Tuesday), everything has been different. I felt nauseous CONSTANTLY for most of my first trimester and a few weeks into the second trimester. I've been having severe pelvic pains for the last couple of months that my doctor has only recently diagnosed as symphysis pubis dysfunction, and within the last couple of weeks I've started suffering from sciatica, as well. I've been carrying this one pretty high and even though you can't tell when I'm fully-clothed, I'm all belly. Hopefully with all the pain that I've experienced thus far in my pregnancy the delivery part will be easier, but I'm not holding my breath. LOL

My pregnancy with my son was so much easier, though I did have complications with the delivery and recovery. But I could definitely tell the difference between the two.

Congratulations and best of luck to you!

I have a daughter and am almost 23 weeks pregnant with a boy. I have been pretty lucky not to have any morning sickness for either pregnancy. In both pregnancies, I have been easily tired. The only big difference in my pregnancies is that in my current one, elevators seem to be an unpleasant ride :( I did not have this in the first.

ok two pregnancies which resulted in the following:
1) cravings of potatos, salt etc - boy (he's here and normally i hate roast potatoes but just wanted them so bad during pregnancy, couldn't have the frozen ones though, had to be made fresh).
2) cravings of milk, cheese etc - yep a girl.
Also my boy seemed to be less active in the womb.

also my very first pregnancy which ended in a miscarriage, i believe was a girl and i craved milk etc then.

Having said that, i have read that statistically speaking, you are more likely to have a child the same sex as your previous child. so as you have boy, boy then the probablility factor is something like 70/30 that you will have a boy. Don't know why it's just something those clever scientists have noted.

p.s. girls cost more cause you buy so much more cutesy clothes etc. Mine'sonly 8 weeks old and already is giving Imelda Marcos a run for her money in the shoe department!!

first was a boy, NO sickness whatsoever. Dreadful labour, the little sod!
second was girl. noticeable sickness, needed toilet the WHOLE pregnancy. Fantastically easy labour, the little angel!

carried both the same, didn't show much with both. boy was week late (men!), girl was 2 weeks early. would've been exactly the same weight if both had gone exact full terms.
not like my sis - first was 8lb girl, easy labour - second was (wincing) a rather large 10lb 11oz, terrible labour.

I heard from a lot of people, sickness prob means a girl

reading somebody elses have just remembered - little girl moved nonstop with full on braxton hicks from 16wks - even kept moving right up until half hour before born

I know alot of people who have had two babies of the same sex and while they were pregnant were convinced they were hacing the opposite sex because their pregnancies were so different. You can never tell just by feeling you have, only way is by a scan or waiting until it comes out!

When I was pregnant with my son, my body blew up like a balloon...I ate everything! But with my daughter, I did not gain a lot of weight and I craved watermelon and waffle fries. Plus, I got a nasty kidney infection while prego with my daughter. ( my grandmother had 5 kids and she knew it was a girl when she got a kidney infection) I carried both high up!!!
