In nam there was a draft and tens of thousands were dying...And they didn't have a phoney baloney excuse like 9-11 (which Iraq had nothing to do with). I also think people are more engrossed in tv, music and videogames nowadays than ever before...

Laziness. Many would rather write down things Pres. Bush says and make a calendar to make money, or perhaps a write a book, anything that might make them rich so they can complain about something else, but go outside and focus on a single issue in all kinds of weather? How boring. Dude, we were lazy enough to announce a second Woodstock and have companies sponser it instead of actually replicating the same sort of purpose. Dont get me started.

They are not at risk for being drafted and they can say stop the war on Answers or any number of other sites. It's easier to sit a computer than to take risks.

I grew up and was in the military during Vietnam. Many of my friends were in college then and were part of the demonstrations against the war and the soldiers. ALL of them now regret having taken part in it, ALL of them now feel bad about how they treated the troops then. Maybe enough of them told their children about those times. Mass demonstrations are the tools of fools.

It's a much more selfish generation; if it doesn't pertain directly to advancing themselves in some way then its not even worth talking about.
