I can't sleep, and I think that what is bothering me is that I bought a video game when I really can't afford it. Does anyone else feel this lousy when they spend what they can't afford?

Yes. I feel bad when I over spend and I will tell you that it is good that you feel bad about it. What worries me are people who spend like crazy, go into debt up to their eyeballs and they don't loose a winks sleep over it.
My advice is to feel the guilt and learn from it. Rewarding yourself with a game when you have money is actually a good feeling. Get some sleep.

I don't have that problem, if I don't have the money for things then I can't get them :/ And since I don't have a job and rarely get money, I think really wisely how I spend it lol. I'll even map out how I might spend it.

I do feel guilty if I get my dad into buying things when I know there not in the best financial situation.

Not at all. I save enough first, and then charge my purchases, knowing I have enough to cover my bill when it comes. It is a matter of discipline, going without until you feel you have enough to spend, try it. Happy New Year

Sometimes I do feel guilty, but don't let it trouble you too much. Maybe your New Year's resolution can be to save more and spend less.

depends, if it's an important thing I bought, I won't feel bad about it because I will have benefits from it in the future. If it's useless, then I'll certainly feel bad.
