Without a bit more info on which particular song (ie some of the lyrics), this is the best I can do...
Long Way Home - a song by Don Henley from his 1982 album I Can't Stand Still
Long Way Home - a song by Soul Asylum from their 1986 album Made To Be Broken
Long Way Home - a song by The Offspring from their 2003 album Splinter
The Long Way Home - a song by Norah Jones from her 2004 album Feels Like Home
Long Way Home - a song by Tom Waits from his 2006 album Orphans
Take The Long Way Home is a single off of Supertramp's 1979 album Breakfast In America.

Tom Waits has a song called "Long Way Home" that Norah Jones covered. Not sure if that's the song you're referring to, though.
