Lets see, perhaps your gonna want to have your Fuel injectors checked or cleaned, you might need a tune-up "spark plugs, wires, fuel filter...starter module/spark module if your sedan has it.

I have learned that you may just want to have your sadan "diagnossed at a repair shop" should'nt cost you more than $60 and they will most likley pin point the troubles- and you are not obligated to have them fix it. once you find the trouble, you might be able to "do it yourself"

Good luck

Well, your Lumina Is equiped wit fuel injection so stomping the peddle It actually chocking the throttle and that alone wont let your car start. My thoughts are as follow: Depends on the mileage of the vehicle, fuel filter can be very clogged trapping needed fuel, fuel pump might be on Its way out too. You would know cause you would be getting a whining sound from it.. Could be you starting coil, mass air flow, or even your air idler control. Go to a local auto zone If available. They will diagnose the problem free of charge. Last, It can be an electrical prob. Good luck, Steve.

I would say a full tuneup will do the job, it could be a few things, fouled spark plugs, dirty restrictive air filter, bad spark plug wires, clogged fuel filter. Im sure a full tune up will have your car running fine.
