And what makes you say the world is selfish. I will concede the existence of some selfish people, our current President and his like as prime examples. However, look at what happened in the United State in the wake of the World Trade Center Attack, Oklahoma City, and Hurricane Katrina as just three examples. Hundreds of thousands of people responded to these disasters and millions respond to small challenges across the US alone on a regular basis. What about men and women who risk their lives in volunteer fire departments and rescue squads? These are all clear examples of altruism and generosity. How can you in the face of these people's sacrifice call the world selfish?

Because I dont have no way out, suicide is the dumbest thing to do cause you will be stuck in heaven or hell for your eternal life depending on your goods and bads. In this world you have family and friends or some stranger at the bar to support you, these are people you choose. But in hell or heaven you are alone. If you are in hell you have to runaway from all the assholes accumulated for an eternal life. Or you can be in heaven with too much naivity sorry i meant innocence, that you start looking like a devil. You stand out.
However, in the selfish world, you are a nobody, and if you choose to be a somebody you can, and you got all kinds of criticism on to you rather than a certain kind. So stay and enjoy us the wierdoss.

Yup, enjoying is one of the good points. But ya cant enjoy all the time. It is a selfish world, I didn't ask to be born but I dont wanna die. Might as well make the best of it.

Because I try to stay away from the selfish people and things. I spend my time walking in the light not the dark. Which means I surround myself with positive people and I do positive things. I stopped the chaos junk along time ago and ever since my life has been filled with pleasantness. I know there's a lot of bad stuff going on and I am not oblivous to it, I just choose to not be around it.

I love life! Some parts are good, some not so good. It is true of everything.
I heard this before: Think of life as a coin that you get to spend any way you choose. But you only get to spend it once.
So stay away from selfish people and don't waste the precous hours of your life focusing on all the bad stuff. You be the one to decide what you allow into your life, your head, your heart, your environment and your personal sphere.

you have a three way health
soul/body/spirituality
in each of these fields
you have to take your responsability
if not,
don't be surpised that the statistics
(cancer/stroke/alzheimer) will get you after 60+
next to that,
if you take care of your selfish life
you will take care of mine too
in creating a energypattern
which affect the both of us.
if you do not adress the dark thoughts,
you will spoil the lives of the others too.

there's this idea in sociology that's called "survival of the fittest". you might want to reseach on this, very interesting. in biological/psychological terms, selfishness is a man's (conscious or unconscious) response to protecting himself from unforeseen future mishaps. a selfish person tries to prepare for this so he hordes everything or anything that he thinks would be beneficial for him. there are also other people who are "selfish" because they live according to their "pleasure principle".

Who is selfish? Your parents GAVE you life. Its not so selfish if ya think about it. People give you the finger, they give you a piece of their mind and if your lucky, a piece of their ***. They give you no respect, give you a hard time, give you a dirty look. So don't be selfish yourself,, hang around and give it back to them.
