Im looking for information on Kolb the QB from Houston, I try to keep myself well Informed about all things football and have never heard of him before, although I have heard he is quite talented. Im also a beleiver that stats dont tell the real story, So I guess im looking for fans of his or the team that have seen him play that can tell me about his talent level etc.

Is he first round material?

I believe he's top 20 draft material. I've only seen him play once. That was his very first game. He looked like a senior then. He had 87 TD's with 34 picks in four years. His completion pct. was 62%. He had a tick under 13,000 yards. He had over 3800 this year. He's not hugely mobile, but neither was Montana. His arm isn't as strong as Elway's, but it is as strong or stronger than Montana.

He's very good, although like Colt Brennan and Timmy Chang, he benefits from the system he plays in. He played in the Hawaii bowl as a freshman and put up 50 something points.

Kolb is a solid QB, a great passer, he'll do well if he ever makes it to the NFL.
