Is anyone else outthere uninspired about today's music. I am soooo sick of the rap and dance I don't ever listen to my car radio, does anyone else feel the same way?

I guess that's why we're turning to classic rock and early 60's,70's rock more. Some bands are trying to recreate that magic and we must give them credit for that. There's no coolness left in rock because it's all turning into "buisness" and "money".
I guess we gotta look back to the greats like Who,U2,Jimi Hendrix,Jethro Tull,Beatles etc.

Then don't listen to the radio!
Find yourself some podcast that suit your tastes in music.
Personnaly, living in Belgium, I have the great chance to listen to a great radio, that plays a bit of nice rap & electro, but mostly pop rock... Not everything I like, but enough to wake me up every morning & not make me want to crawl back under the blankets...
You could try it... It's available on the net. They have a metal show, called Rock Show... You might not understand what they say between the songs, but it could be funny!

Today's music is built more for the popular club and dance scenes. I find that today's rock, while catchy, does not have near the substance of rock and metal through the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

Kids today are more interested in toneless screaming; more like Pantera with black lung.

Throw some horns!

YES. So hard to find originality and quality these days.

Maybe someone will come out in the next innovative and creatvie thing in rock soon.

But oh yeah its all a bunch of crap. I dont listen to the radio at all. Just my own huge collection of REAL music.

That seems to be a question about rap and dance music not heavy metal and rock music. Damn too late the radio has already fried your brains...and your hair is gone too from the looks of your avatar!

added details Our Fearless Leader, which is I, tells us you should answer all my questions and yes, music sucks now.

It relies upon on what you're speaking approximately. maximum early steel is a subgenre of rock yet extra severe genres have more suitable into their own sort. they have a tendency to be very innovative and characteristic a huge classical effect and don't play to common rock shape. even inspite of the shown fact that maximum "rock stars" are extremely "steel stars" from the rock effect steel. Such examples are Mötley Crüe, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, and so on.

I miss the 90's when alternative rock was original (grunge, shoegaze etc), dance music was original (drill n' bass, IDM, etc), rap music was rebellious (not all about how much pussy this fat guy got).
Now, there's nothing.
But if you search the underground, then you'll find some diversity amongst the corporate 'entertainment' music.

I like to switch between classic rock, country and classical. It's an unusual combination I know, but that's what I like. Every once in a while I throw some gospel in the mix too, just depends on my mood.
Rap, hard metal? Boo, hiss, moan!!!!!

I agree, todays music doesn't get it for me. That is why I have an MP3 player in my car, so I can burn my music to disc off of the Internet (legally) & hear what I like!
